Job Description Highlights:
Reports To: General Manager
Location: New York, NY
Flexible Schedule: Minimum of 15 hours a week including weekend availability
Role Scope and Requirements:
Kids In Sports is a fast-paced specialized sports program for children ages 12 months through 8 years old that has been operating and growing since 1999. We teach the fundamentals of baseball, basketball, football, floor hockey, lacrosse, soccer, and volleyball through our Multi-Sport, Sport-specific, and Enrichment classes. We take pride in nurturing whole child development in a fun environment, helping each child grow in the confidence and skills they need to succeed in sports, school, and life. We are looking to hire an enthusiastic coach to assist with multi-sport classes for our youngest athletes (Age 1-7). We are looking for a motivated quick-learner that, with in-house training and support, can eventually take on the responsibility of leading classes. Applicants should be positive, responsible, and confident with the ability to execute the provided Kids In Sports curriculum to our athletes. Applicants must have experience and desire to work with kids.
- Lead Multi-Sport, Sport-Specific, and Enrichment classes for groups of children age 12 months to 7 years old.
- Consistently set an energetic, enthusiastic, and positive tone.
- Provide feedback and encouragement during activities to guide children in gaining and cultivating skills as well as a healthy attitude towards competition.
- Professionally communicate with parents and caregivers with customer service in mind.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Positive, outgoing, and self-motivated.
- Well-spoken with the confidence and ability to talk to caregivers as well as kids of all ages.
- A team player that communicates and works well with coworkers and supervisors.
- Willingness and ability to learn and follow company curriculum and standards.
- Passion for sports and working with children.
- Willingness and ability to travel and teach in local off-site environments.
- 4 - 8 Hour Shifts
- After School
- Day Shift
- Evening Shift
- Monday - Friday
- Weekends as Needed
